Tusker Oktobafest continued its vibrant nationwide celebration of Kenyan beer, music and culture this past weekend in the coastal town of Mombasa, treating beer enthusiasts to Kenya Breweries Limited’s (KBL) finest beers and live performances by top homegrown talent at 1922, Nyali.

The event, the second edition of the festival in the Coast region, continued the nationwide festival’s journey following successful stops in Eldoret, Nanyuki and Nairobi, bringing the month of beer to an exciting close.

The experience delivered an exhilarating night of entertainment, kicking off with Base to Billboardz music collective Keteh, who debuted their party record, “Umebant”. Gengetone diva Ssaru followed with her undeniable stage presence, before Wakadinali brought the night to a powerful close with performances by Scar, Domani Munga, Sir Bwoy and Sewersydaa.

With free entry, the event provided an accessible opportunity for attendees to come together, enjoy their favourite Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) beers, spanning lagers, stouts, ciders and malts, and connect over a shared appreciation for music and culture.

Commenting on the success of the second Mombasa event, Rediet Yigezu, Marketing Manager at Kenya Breweries Limited, said: “The overwhelming turnout at today’s event and previous editions across the country are a testament to the growing need for authentic, local experiences accessible to consumers wherever they are, and reaffirms our decision to scale the festival to a nationwide celebration. We are excited to extend this celebration beyond the month of beer to reach even more of our consumers.”

The nationwide festival will extend its celebration of beer and culture into November, with events scheduled across multiple towns in the coming weeks:

  • Nebraska Ugunja – November 7
  • Space Next Door, Nakuru – November 14
  • Big Tree, Mombasa – November 21

Beer enthusiasts can also look forward to flash sales and exclusive discounts on their favourite Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) beers, spanning lagers, stouts, ciders and malts. The offers will be available at supermarkets and select e-commerce partners.
