History tends to repeat itself, or so the learned ones say. It seems however, that human beings never learn from past experiences; that power, as intoxicating as it may seem, is very fleeting. Even the mightiest fall, as has been proven by historical events like the French Revolution or even quite recently the Arab Spring.
If there is one thing that my little years on earth have taught me, is how temporary everything is. Love, marriages, dictatorships, monarchs, empires: even life itself has an expiry date. World leaders should tread cautiously because once your time is up it’s up and nothing can save you, not even the power you perceive yourself to hold. Power is an illusion whose dynamic could change at any moment. Which is why if I were a leader (president) with dubious intentions for his citizens in this era of political dissident and revolutionary undertones I would be very scared.
With this in mind, I therefore do not understand president Macron recently passing a bill that increased France’s retirement age, apparently tipping a nation over the edge that was already tired with him bypassing parliament to pass a series of laws.
Imagine doing that in France. France, the country that gave the world the French Revolution. A country where, as one tiktoker commented, due to evolutionary pressure, has evolved to be immune to tear gas (sic). Imagine a country that lived through the “reign of terror,” a period where a whole king and queen where killed by the guillotine. BEHEADED in the open and their bodies left there for days so the public could come and spit on them and ridicule them. Imagine having public executions for more than a year and every single day a person of noble background, an aristocrat is beheaded. Imagine a country that hang more than 10,000 of its nobility and brought their monarch of thousands of years to an abrupt end. The sheer horror, truly deserving of the name “Reign of terror.” Now imagine being the president of such a country and trying to pull off whatever these fellows are doing. People are bold. History tends to repeat itself and not in a pleasant way.
Surprisingly, none of the leading media outlets are running these stories. So many people are on the streets in different countries all over the world but not a single mention. Not even on twitter or Facebook or, (I could be asking for too much) Instagram. The only social media app reporting these, live as they happen, complete with videos and photos and explanations is tiktok. Which now makes things clear and helps us understand why countries like Canada and the USA are trying so hard to ban it.
The US senate or whatever was left with egg on their face recently as the tiktok CEO floored them with his intelligent well thought out answers during the senate hearing where they tried to argue why the app should be banned In the USA. I’m not saying the Chinese are a better devil….but really, thank God the Tiktok app is Chinese owned. Some of us are tired of the west trying to dominate and control the world narrative.
Here are some social media reactions to the Paris riots and the tiktok saga.

In terms of sheer numbers, the French are showing the people of the nations of the world what to do when one’s government no longer represents them. I hope this becomes a common occurrence.

Paris will be the burning embers which stoke more flame worldwide.

They will never put those protesters away, and this will spread like fire.
2023 is the beginning of society's collapse – after all – forest fires are beneficial to new growth.
France's Democracy in danger. Western media is completely silent on this. They worry about Democracy, Right to protest and Press freedom only when it's a Non Western country.#France #Paris #FranceProtests pic.twitter.com/0KmB6GcOKA

Well, the mask is off, if it was ever really on. As I predicted, the TikTok ban has evolved into blatant censorship of the internet. Let's talk about it. Big rant incoming, but if you enjoy continuing to have even some semblance of personal freedom, you're gonna wanna listen
