Lillian turned her troubled face to her friend, Jacky, and smiled slightly. She fidgeted with her hands, trying really hard not to let her emotions show but knowing she was failing miserably.
Jacky stared back with a smile, urging her silently to say something.
“But I love the man,” Lillian wailed
“Love? You say you love the man. Does he love you back? You just said you suspect he is cheating on you. So how can you love such a man? I think you are misusing that word, my dear Lillian. Think. Do not let a man deceive you. Maxwell is a good for nothing-“
“Hey, don’t cross the boundaries. Say whatever you have to say but do not insult him. Yes, he has his weakness, yes, he behaves like a typical man sometimes but I do believe that he actually loves me.”
“Sweetheart, open your eyes wide. What makes you think that Maxwell will change for you? That he actually loves you? Give me good reasons why you think he does and maybe, just maybe, I’ll tell you to give it a shot,”
Lillian took a deep breath and said nothing, her mind in turmoil.
“Well?” Jacky probed.
“First of all let’s be very clear, whether you tell me to give it a shot or not, the decision depends solely on me. “
“Of course lily, don’t mind me. You know how I can be a jerk sometimes. Make up your mind; after all he is your player boy, not mine.”
“Oh please!” Lillian glared at her, but knowing how much her friend loved drama, decided not to raise an argument.
“For starters he pays my rent, my two sister’s university fees and gives me money for monthly upkeep.”
Jacky was mesmerized. She knew Maxwell was financially well off, but she dint know he did all that for her friend. For a moment there she was caught off balance.
“Aren’t you going to say something?” Lillian asked.
“Hahaha!! But of course it had to be about money! What else? Money rules, no?”
“Oh shut up please. He is very considerate to me. He tries Jacky. He has changed. He does those little things men consider time wasting and he takes me to intimate romantic dinners. He calls every day and would kill anyone who tries hurting me.”
“ you don’t know that.” Jacky pointed out
“Yes I do and it melts my heart.”
Jacky looked at her friend up and down. “How much is the monthly upkeep?”
“Sixty thousand.”
“Say what?”
Lillian smiled a monalisa, knowing she’d scored on that one.
“And he is going to buy me something really special next month. He told me so.”
“But he is still a player. And you suspect he wants to get back to his ex. Sweetie, money is not the end of the world. If someone cheats on you then he does not deserve you by any means.’
“You think?”
“I believe so.”
“So what do you suggest I do?” Lillian asked, chewing on her nails.
“Um, I’m not sure. But I know we have to scare him a bit. Show him you want to leave him.”
“We?”
“Eh eh, I’m only trying to help. Is that a crime?”
“So help me then!!”
“For starters, write him a tough sms. Tell him you’re done with his philandering ways. Tell him you have found yourself another man. Someone who loves you and won’t cheat on you.” She paused. “Yes, I think we should start from there.”
“My God. Do you think this is a good idea?”
“Trust me; this is not a good idea. It’s a brilliant idea. He will come begging on his knees.”
“You are so evil Jacky.”
Jackie rolled her eyes, “wait till you meet my mother. She is worse I tell you.”

Every time, he wrote a new message, he deleted it again. Everything he wrote wasn’t right and it was eating him up. Whatever happened to the macho him? The man who had ladies trembling at his feet? Mighty, mighty Maxwell?
Lillian, that’s what happened.
She had come into his life and turned his whole world upside down. This girl was like no other. Tall, dark and very beautiful it made you want to weep. She swayed him off his feet and the worst part was that she did not even know the kind of effect she had on him. Heck she didn’t even know how beautiful she was, she walked around killing men and yet unaware of her effects on them.
Maxwell being Maxwell, he’d met a lot of women. Women whose only agenda was to be bought alcohol. Take them out to a fancy place and they’ll open their legs wide for you from here to France. Women who were capable of anything, and I mean ANYTHING. Women who did not want to grow old. Women who were drama queens.
God knows he’d met women and none of them measured up to Lillian.
She had a naivety that turned him on to no end. It took him six months to get into her pants. And then she didn’t even know what to do. Surprisingly though, instead of that turning him off, it made him crazier. He would teach her stuff, crazy, crazy stuff. And teach her did.
She did not nag, she cooked and cleaned and was always there when he needed her.
Maxwell knew without a doubt that he was going to marry this one.
The only thing he hated was her friendship to that crazy girl, what was her name again?
Then he remembered he’d been sent a mean condensing text, and the bile rose in his mouth. He picked up his phone, wrote a reply and deleted it; again.
His doorbell rang.
He got up, hoping it was Lillian, almost rushing to the door.
It was not. It was her stupid friend. He forced a smile.
“What a surprise. How can I help you?”
“Can I at least come in? It’s a bit cold outside here.”
“Oh of course, pardon my manners. Please do come in.”
“Thank you.” Jacky said, flashing him a beautiful smile.
She looked around the house, impressed. It was a beautiful house. It was Lillian’s boyfriend house. The bitch. She did not deserve this.
“Can I offer you anything?” Maxwell asked uncomfortably. It was 9; pm. What the hell had brought her here at this time of the night?”
“Water, if you don’t mind.”
Maxwell left and she adjusted her top, parting her legs lightly.
“Here we go,” Maxwell said as he handed her a glass of water. “Is everything okay?”
“Everything is okay. Max, I know you are surprised to see me here. But I came to comfort you. I saw the text Lillian sent you. To be honest I tried stopping her but she was so incensed she just sent it anyway. I’m really sorry. Could you maybe share with me what went wrong?”
Maxwell cleared his throat. “ummmm…”
“Jacky,” she smiled sweetly, hiding the pain in her eyes.
“Yes Jacky. I really don’t want to talk about it. I hope you understand it’s not in bad faith.”
“Of course I understand. But maybe I could help you relax a bit….”
“I have no idea what you are talking about.” In the back of his mind he did and to his horror, he felt the blood in his loins racing. Damn.
“Oh come on max, of course you do.” She removed her jumper slowly and when she was done max could see her erected breasts behind her transparent top. He noticed she dint have a bra. He couldn’t help staring, and those nipples were so hard and tantalizingly inviting. He imagined putting them in his mouth, one at a time and the ache in his member was so much he wanted to cry.
“Do you want to touch them?” Jacky asked softly, almost in a whisper while opening her legs wider. He was almost sure she didn’t have a panty on. He wanted to ask her why? Why was she doing this? But he knew it was of no use, the saliva was stuck in his throat and would not move.
He knew this type; and this type was to be used and thrown away as far as possible. He’d come to hate this type but now he realized, that in the past three years he’d also missed this type. They would drive him crazy, or rather used to. And now, this girl sited in front of him brought back those memories, of days he lived his life as if there was no tomorrow. He wanted to say no, be a man and send her away but he knew he wasn’t that strong. He was a coward and he would choose the only way out that he knew.
The energy and raw power with which he took her surprised them both.

She said nothing to her cab driver as he drove on, the cab driver who had driven her so many times. Almost become a friend. She was sorry about that message and she knew she shouldn’t have sent it. Well, she was going to apologize to her man, and make up to him in a real nice way. She giggled as she imagined the unimaginable things she was going to do to him. What a naughty girl she had become!
She shouldn’t have listened to Jacky. Well, now she was going to try and avoid her as much as she could.
She paid the cab driver and the gateman opened the door for her. She said hi and went in, glad she had her own key. She would surprise him in his sleep. She knew he was asleep because the place was quite.
She opened the door slowly and tiptoed to the bedroom. She stopped dead when she was the female clothes strewn on the couch and the handbag that looked almost familiar. Was he with a woman? So Jacky was right, Maxwell would never change. Good old Jacky.
She could feel the anger rise, anger plus hatred plus so many emotions she couldn’t place and she struggled to push them back. She moved quickly towards the bedroom.
She could now hear the groans and panting, and oh how loud they were!!!
There was No need to open the door because it was ajar. What she saw there almost turned her into stone. There they were her lover and her best friend. Against the wall, behaving like wild animals. It was crazy really. She dint know what to do, so she just stood there and watched, the tears trickling down her face. How humiliating!!!
Jacky was in heaven, riding and being riding there and back. Some manhood this one had, and to think it was exclusively Lillian’s! She almost let out a triumphant laugh but checked herself and opened her eyes….and froze.
Maxwell thought it was that moment and pumped even harder.
“Stop!” she cried.
But Maxwell was like a wild animal now. How could he stop? “Isn’t this what you wanted, little girl?” he asked hoarsely.
“Please stop. Lillian is here.”
That sentence stopped him in his tracks like a live bullet. He stopped immediately. It was like being poured cold water on.
He turned slowly….
“Lillian?” he’d never given any girl the key to his house and he now regretted ever giving one to Lillian. How beautiful she looked behind the torrent of tears.
“i…i….i..”
“That was one crazy ride,” she said sadly, wiping the tears with the back of her hand.
Jacky stepped forward, “Lillian I can explain.”
Lillian looked her up and down and Jacky felt cheap and humiliated in her nakedness.
“Well, you can go on with your escapade. It was nice knowing both of you.” She turned to leave and max ran towards her.
“Lillian, you can’t throw away three years of a relationship just like that!!!” he cried desperately.
“Cant I? Seriously you should have thought of that before sleeping with my friend, don’t you agree? Let me tell you, I can throw away three years of a relationship, as you say, just like that. Because Mr. Maxwell, I just have.”
Maxwell sank to his knees. He was doomed.
